Merit Apprenticeship Alliance Apprentice - Hudson Valley - Skilled Construction Craft Laborer in Hudson Valley, New York
The apprentice will learn through a combination of on-the-job training and related instruction to:Participate in site/project preparation and maintenanceClean construction site to eliminate possible hazards. Participate in the operation and care of tools and equipmentErect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, and other temporary structures.Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.Signal equipment operators to move machinery, equipment, and materialsTend pumps, compressors, and generators to provide power for tools and equipment Install utility, sewer and pipe constructionPerform road construction activities involving asphalt, concrete and concrete supports, highway signs, guard rails and landscaping.Work in excavations, with weather protection, fencing and masonry operations.Classroom training is provided.Wages on public projects average 20% higher than private wages. Benefits are provided on all hours worked.Minimum requirements apply. Upon the offering of a position, the applicant must pass a drug screen as a condition of enrollment into the apprentice program.
Minimum Salary: 17 Maximum Salary: 20 Salary Unit: Hourly
