Aerotek Mechanical Assembler in Hudson, Ohio

Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

Candidates will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of large mixing machines for the tire industry. This role involves utilizing hand and power tools to assemble machinery, working off of blueprints to ensure that the product meets customer specifications, and using an overhead crane to move large materials for assembly. Additionally, candidates will assist in painting material prior to assembling the machines. This position is within a Union environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble large mixing machines for the tire industry.

  • Utilize hand and power tools for assembly.

  • Work off of blueprints to ensure products meet customer specifications.

  • Use an overhead crane to move large materials for assembly.

  • Assist in painting materials before assembly.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in machine building.

  • Proficiency with overhead cranes.

  • Ability to read blueprints.

  • Ownership of tools up to an inch.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Job shop background.

  • Experience with assembly, mechanical work, power tools, hand tools, blueprint reading and interpretation.

  • Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.

Work Environment

This is a heavy industrial environment that is a Union Shop. The setting resembles a mechanic shop with some grease on the floors. It is a very large manufacturing facility where mixing machines for the tire industry are built. Candidates must have steel-toed shoes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $49920.00
