BAE Systems Software Engineer II in Hudson, New Hampshire

We are seeking an early career, Software Engineer with 2 years of experience to apply their skills in developing high-quality, real-time embedded software for cutting edge electronic platforms.

When you become a member of our team, you will work across multiple disciplines and collaborate with Systems, Hardware, and Test Engineers to impact all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Integration of complex embedded software with target hardware. This includes working with the software team and hardware engineers to diagnose, debug, and test the systems under development and support production selloff.

  • Development of object-oriented applications in Matlab, C , C, Rust.

  • Working with various communication interfaces and protocols, understanding of IP networking and various message architectures.

  • Generating and performing automated tests of the integrated system, with focus on zero-defects.

  • Preparing test documentation in accordance with established processes.

  • Analyzing, designing, coding and code modification (typically using C in a Linux environment) of complex software designs for simple systems or subsystems or subsystems of larger systems.

  • Evaluating complex software designs to identify design flaws.

  • Preparing design documentation, in accordance with established processes.

  • Leveraging existing products for providing environment simulation in support of mission crew training.

This position is primarily an in-office position located in Hudson NH, with opportunities to work from home on occasion.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Secret clearance (active within the last two years) with ability to obtain Top Secret

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, and minimum of 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

  • Experience with legacy C software and GUI frameworks

  • Software and systems engineering processes, methodologies and tools

  • Experience performing and leading software testing, validation and verification activities

  • Source code control tools

  • Object-oriented software development in C

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Real-time embedded development

  • RF/Comms Electronic Warfare

  • Counter-Radar Electronic Warfare

  • Linux OS

  • Python, BASH and/or other scripting experience

  • Continuous Integration Tools

  • Clearcase, GIT, Jira, Confluence

  • Agile Development experience

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
