Position Title

: Student Interventionist, South Hardin Middle School, Hubbard, Iowa

Job Description:

The Middle School Student Interventionist plays a pivotal role in facilitating the educational growth and development of students with diverse learning needs, particularly focusing on talented and gifted students as well as those below grade level in math and reading. This role requires a dynamic educator who is passionate about nurturing the potential of every student, regardless of their current academic level.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Iowa teaching license
  • Bachelors Degree in Education - preference to endorsements in Reading, Math or TAG or willingness to obtain
  • Demonstrated experience in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students
  • Proficiency in data analysis and assessment techniques to inform instructional planning
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities

:

Differentiated Instruction

: Develop and implement evidence based, high quality instructional strategies to meet the unique learning needs of both talented and gifted students and those below grade level in math and reading.

Talented and Gifted Programming

: Work in collaboration with Gen Ed teachers to design and deliver enriched curriculum content and activities to challenge and engage gifted and talented students, fostering their intellectual curiosity and creativity.
