Applied Materials MES Software Engineer II - (E2) in Hsinchu, Taiwan

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops code for moderately difficult software projects. Design and implement bug fixes.

  • Designs moderately difficult software projects.

  • Develops software documentation.

  • Troubleshoots a variety of moderately difficult software problems. Performs software tests on code and enhancements. Defines software specifications.

  • Interfaces with external customers regarding software issues

  • Interfaces with internal customers for requirements analysis and schedule.

  • Compiles data for regularly scheduled or special reports, analysis and statements.

The MES/CIM Software Engineering Programmer is responsible for development MES/CIM Software Product. A principal activity of this position is to hand on software developing Web UI coding MES/CIM products.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates, plans, and performs a variety of software analysis, design, development, code, code review, documentation, integration, test and product assurance tasks.

  • Develop MES product Web UI (UX/UI)

  • Contributes to the development of engineering design models and develops programs to enhance, implement and support project/system functionality for the assigned technical effort and Participate in the devising of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing and ongoing support applications.

  • Revise and refine systems as requirement.

  • Ensures technical outcomes are consistent with established engineering principles and practices and that customer and company technical, system, performance, and quality requirements.

  • Must be able to apply SDLC concepts and have a proven track record of delivering solid, robust applications.

  • Support product and Application solutions for customers globally

  • Meet department and/or company quality standards.

Special Requirements:

  • Computer, Electronics & Industry bachelor degree or MBA with Information system background.

  • A minimum of 2-years’ experience in operating an MES system in a production semiconductor, LCD, LED & Solar environment.

  • Expert knowledge of manufacturing systems as FAB300, WorkStream, Promis, Factoryworks & SiView and the wafer fabrication factory floor which is a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
