ABOUT THE ROLE

The Operations Manager acts as a key contact point for internal and external matters relating to the efficient and successful operations of one or more country(ies). Additionally, this function is responsible for helping the local Management and the external stakeholders (customers and vendors) with planning, putting in place and monitoring strategies aimed to increase the quality of the services.

The Operations Manager is required to work effectively with multiple business units, recognizing the differing business needs and processes of each individual unit which is related to Operational Excellence.

The Operations Manager coordinates the work of Team Leaders by aligning their processes, streamlining operations and sharing best practices to ensure internal consistency. The Operations Manager also supports Team Leaders in recruiting, training and managing the personal and career development of their department's employees.

The role reports to Local (L) and Regional (R) Directors as well as to EMEA (E) Director - ( LRE ).

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage implementation, monitoring and reporting of agreed processes, including but not limited to: incidents, issues, compliance, quality, changes, KPI (Key Performance Indicators), risk management

  • Support the LRE Managers by delivering and cascading business objectives to the teams, as well as by suggesting new strategies to improve quality of services

  • Monitor productivity and provide reporting of activities and performances within the different teams

  • Support Team Leaders in managing operational issues within their teams.

  • Act as a main contact point for internal and external relations of the relevant department, cooperating with different supporting functions, such as IT and HR depts.

  • Build and maintain strong and effective business relationships with stakeholders and customers

  • Ensure compliance to defined procedures in terms of quality and safety - according to agreed SLA's (Service Level Agreement)

  • Manage changes minimizing the risk of ineffectiveness

  • Act as first point of escalation and resolution management for operations related subjects

  • Oversee the assigned department, country, region and contribute to company's growth

  • Manages and monitors logistics processes, both import and export. Acts as contact person for escalations and provides competent assistance in the event of incidents during customs clearance process. Acts as a liaison with the Trade Compliance Department and the Global Deployment Center.

  • Develop Team Leaders by providing individual coaching and enabling them by assigning tasks in line with their career aspirations

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in team management, 10+ years

  • Experience in leading projects and knowledge of process management methodologies

  • Fluency in business communication in English, both written and oral

GOOD TO HAVE:

  • Sound knowledge of business tools used Microsoft Dynamics AX and Salesforce would be an advantage

  • In-depth understanding of the OPS business, including SLAs

  • Experience in transition management
