Aerotek Weiler Manual Machinist in Houston, Texas

Job Title: Weiler Machinist

Job Description

Perform set up and operation of a machine with a Sinumerik operating system, comparable to a manual lathe. The primary responsibilities include machining inflatable packers and downhole tools, primarily used to machine various threads such as API, IF, straight, 8 round-10 round tapered connection, stub acme, Acme, and buttress threads. Candidates will handle their own set ups including adjustments for speed, feed, coolant flow, depth, angle of cut, and part indication, maintaining machining in +-.001 tolerances. Additionally, inspecting parts to verify dimensions using micrometers and calipers is required. Machine parts will range in size, and machining will be performed on metallic materials. Training for setting up programs on the machine will be provided.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

This is a fully on-site position in Houston, Texas.

Work Environment

Organized shop in an air-conditioned environment. 1st shift working hours are from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays as needed.
