Job Description

Our summer internship is a 10-weeks program designed to provide the experience and skills you need in your studies and future career. Our US internship will begin on 2 June and ends on 8 August 2025.

The position

Finance & Control is the driving force behind performance and the creation of greater value in Equinor. You’ll be part of the team that ensures financing and are responsible for financial information both internally and externally.

We provide professional support and advice towards business units and corporate executive management, represent Equinor in the financial markets and are responsible for interactions towards equity analysts and investors. F&C is also responsible for tax, risk management and investor relations.

When joining our team in Finance & Control you will have the opportunity to work within:

• Investment and portfolio analysis

• Performance management

• Financing, capital distribution, financial risk management, cash management, and compliance & control

• Accounting, financial reporting and financial compliance including verification activities

• Business architecture, business analytics and digitalization

• Tax

• Land asset management, portfolio analysis, and administration

You will gain exposure across a multi-national energy value chain; from oil and gas and offshore wind operations to midstream transportation, power and training. As an F&C intern, you will actively engage with senior leadership team and work in a collaborative way across all disciplines in the F&C organization. You help deliver financial and accounting support for our North America portfolio – Equinor's largest international asset base. This can also mean assisting on special projects based on business needs and industry climate, such as data analysis, visualization, and automation.

For this position we are looking for those with:

• Currently studying for Bachelor’s or Master’s with a strong academic record within Accounting, Finance, MIS, Tax, Business Administration, or Law.

• Fluent in English.

• No more than two years of relevant full-time work experience.

• Have completed at least two years of bachelor education before the internship program starts (2 June 2025).

• Have at least one year of higher education left after the internship program ends (8 August 2025).

• Candidates must live in a state where Equinor currently operates.

• Candidates must have the necessary work permit for the country in which they are applying for a position. The work permits must be valid at the point of application and for the duration of the employment. Please note that Equinor does not support, or sponsor work or visa permits for internship applications. • Minimum GPA of 3.3 preferred.
