Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team who will foster an environment of teamwork, quality and safety for our patients. What You Will Do In This Role:

  • You will coordinate the Speech Language Pathology care for the patient population who are acutely ill and have medical needs, which result in cognitive, swallowing, or language deficits.

  • You will document evaluations (admission and discharge), modifications in treatment plan of care, and responses to speech language pathology interventions.

  • You will determine the efficacy of therapeutic interventions, technologies and outcomes and the utilization of support personnel.

  • You will work as a part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team with other therapists, nurses, physicians, allied health professionals to deliver a team approach to each patient.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.

  • Speech Language Pathologist License issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology is required.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech and Hearing Association is required.

  • 1 year of experience in a Speech Therapy Setting: Acute, Inpatient Rehab, Pediatrics, or Outpatient setting is preferred.

  • Current BLS certification is required.
