The Senior Liquid Measurement Specialist will coordinate measurement system evaluation, equipment issues and gain/loss mitigation and project responsibilities for the areas assigned. They will also be responsible for leading team efforts with defining, testing, and championing proper measurement equipment selection and installation. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform measurement review of gain/loss issues as reported by the Material Balance groups.
Perform task of a technical nature associated with measurement systems troubleshooting and repair.
Work in cooperation with and in support of the Manager of Liquid Measurement, Measurement Coordinator and the Engineering staff to ensure compliance with approved measurement standards, specifications, policy and procedures for all new installations, upgrades to existing facilities, and major repairs of measurement equipment.
Assist with measurement system start-ups, including Factory Acceptance tests (FAT).
Assist training department in Liquid Hydrocarbon Measurement School.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
Associates degree in a technical discipline or 5 years of related industry experience is required.
5 years pipeline or related industry experience.
5 years of maintenance or liquid measurement experience.
Experience working in a project environment is preferred.
Knowledge of electronics instrumentation and their applications is required.
Must be able and willing to work in the outdoors, in the field, and to be able to work using tools and do moderate lifting and climbing of stairs.
Ability to work in a corporate and/or field environment
Self- starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities without daily direction.
Ability to understand and demonstrate computer functionality is required.
Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Familiar with the accounting systems used by material balance.
Excellent communication skills, written reporting and be able to effectively provide detail explanation of measurement equipment troubleshooting and repair.
Must be able to travel up to 50%.
