Wolters Kluwer Software Quality Assurance Analyst II in Houston, Texas

As a Software Quality Assurance Analyst , you will collaborate with resources across the organization to help refine requirements, understand customer needs, and ensure that systems being developed and/or modified meet expectations with respect to functional and non-functional requirements. As a QA Analyst, you will develop and execute manual test scripts against web-based and mobile applications using quality assurance methodologies and test management applications. This role will entail testing of solutions that will be used by some of the top tier companies across various industries such as Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, Mining and Construction.

In this role, based in Houston, you will be reporting to the QA Manager and working with a global team across different time zones. We offer a Hybrid work schedule with two days in the office and three days from your remote home office.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Write clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and design tests to mitigate risk.

  • Analyze requirements to assess completeness and testability.

  • Create QA artifacts including test plan, project specific test strategy, detailed test cases/test data, defect reports, and final test summary report.

  • Willingness to actively work on broadening/adding new skills and learn new ideas and technologies

  • Ability to work under pressure, manage customer expectations effectively and not get overwhelmed by customer related pressures.

  • Provide customer (internal/external) focus and a quality mindset.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in software manual testing.

  • Demonstrated experience working with GitHub and Team City.

  • Experience working with global teams in a variety of time zones.

  • Experience with tools such a Jira, Azure DevOps, or other test management tools.

  • Experience working on projects with tight deadlines and client commitments.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
