JPMorgan Chase Software Engineer in Houston, Texas
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement scalable, secure, and stable cloud-native software solutions, including frontend user interface implementation, backend API and database operations. Participate in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including intake, analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Solve design and functionality problems independently with minimal supervision. Determine which cloud native architecture to utilize. Regularly provide technical guidance to the team. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist team members with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed strategic solutions. Ensure that all production changes are processed according to change management policies and procedures. Ensure that appropriate levels of quality assurance have been met for all new and existing products.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, Java Developer, Software Trainer, Software Executive, or related occupation
