Technical Operations/Maintenance

Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Job overview and responsibilities

Professional Engineering License desired.

  • To support all Base and Line operations by providing safe, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective aircraft tooling equipment and support in a timely manner by specifying, designing, or modifying equipment to perform the vital task.Design, specify, approve, and/or modify mechanical/electronic aircraft tooling as necessary to support customer and OEM requirements. Design complex mechanical/electronic test equipment/stands or OEM equivalent designs. Extensive and specialized ability to read and understand basic and complex engineering drawings and specifications. Perform detailed Finite Element Analysis of aircraft tooling components, assemblies, and structures made of metallic and/or composite materials. Performing detailed stress analysis to determine structural integrity tooling and equipment using classical techniques and SIMULIA tools. This analysis will support tooling production, responses to customer inquiries, OEM tool change bulletin inquires, failure investigations. Ensure OSHA, FAA, and/or other government agency coordination is achieved to show compliance with regulatory requirements. Document stress analysis and data required to comply with OSHA, customer, and other regulatory requirements. Provide mentorship on stress related aspects of design and configuration development to other team members. Supports review of manufacturing drawings and procedures to ensure compliance with design and loads requirements on lifting devices and any other tooling deem safety sensitive.   • The salary for this position is $84,450.00- $123,860.00 dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule. Salary and benefits information is being included in this job posting in accordance with California and Colorado state law.

Qualifications

Required

  • BS/ MS Degree required.

  • Engineering or Technical College Degree required.

  • CATIA V5, V6, or 3D experience.

  • Enovia

  • SIMULIA /ABAQUS CAE required.

  • GEOMAGIC

  • MS Office suite

  • FileMaker Pro

  • Intermediate/Advanced computer skills.

  • 5 yrs. minimum of SIMULIA /ABAQUS CAE, or equivalent FEA package, are required.

  • 5 yrs. minimum of CATIA V5, V6, or 3DEx. experience preferred.

Preferred

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

  • Regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with United’s policies is required.

  • Must be able to travel as needed to provide technical support to calibration laboratories, maintenance centers, and line stations across the system.

  • Professional Engineering License.

  • A & P License.

  • FCC License
