Job Purpose

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will support the Business Systems team and various other internal and external stakeholders by designing, developing, and maintaining professional, scalable, and secure business intelligence (BI) solutions. The candidate will proactively identify areas for new development or redevelopment of existing BI solutions to create efficiencies in Pattern’s financial and operational activities. In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity to work with a variety of automation tools to deliver other data solutions, including data flows and process automation. The candidate will be comfortable navigating a complex network of data sources and tools, thinking strategically about optimal methods for structuring and presenting data to end users, and putting strategy into action. The candidate will strive for professionalism, responsiveness and attention to detail while juggling many competing deliverables.

Key Accountabilities

  • Partner with internal stakeholders across Pattern to design, develop, and maintain professional, scalable, and secure BI solutions in Microsoft Power BI.

  • Research and resolve any BI-related tickets submitted by internal customers, striving for speedy, top quality customer service.

  • Write, revise, and troubleshoot T-SQL queries against complex datasets from a variety of source systems.

  • Embrace a variety of tools to automate processes and data flows, as prioritized and directed by management.

  • Drive developments through Pattern’s change control process, attaining sign-offs on functional unit testing and user acceptance testing, and attaining business owner and IT approvals.

  • Perform other BI-related projects and ad-hoc requests from internal stakeholders as assigned.

Educational and Work Experience

  • BS degree in related quantitative or analytical field required.

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience delivering and maintaining BI solutions; experience with Microsoft Power BI or Tableau highly preferred.

  • Strong capacity to multi-task and prioritize work effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and deliver on specific directives, applying learning towards future projects.

  • Multi-cultural and multi-regional experience is highly preferred.

  • Experience using automation tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and/or Logic Apps, is desirable.

  • Renewable energy industry experience is preferred.
