Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr. Accounting Clerk to join our team! In this role you will receive, sort, and prepare accounting information for input into the accounting system or for use by other departments, suppliers, and/or clients.
What You'll Be Doing:
Receive accounting information from internal or external sources including: other sections of the Finance Department, other departments or divisions, subsidiary companies, suppliers, clients, etc.
Compile information for accounting records.
Sort and compare information by supplier, client, account number, and/or cost center.
Audit information for conformance to requirements.
Processes financial records. Prepares vouchers, journals, and other reports. Inputs information into a computerized accounting system.
Prepare information for use by other departments, clients, and/or suppliers.
Prepare ledgers of accounting activities, as well as reconciliations and/or proofs.
Answer inquiries and prepares standard analyses.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
High school diploma (or equivalent) is preferred, as well as some training and typically 3+ years of Related Experience within an accounting unit, including data entry.
Basic PC skills including, but not limited to, MS Windows, MS Word, and MS Excel.
Must have good communications skills, be able to work as part of a team, and be able to follow instructions accurately.

Salary Range:
$14.66 - $24.95
