Overview and Essential Functions

What you'll do :

A Safety Supervisor shall maintain current knowledge of company safety guidelines and field supervisor responsibilities. Shall visit construction job sites to conduct as well as ensure job site observations, gate checks, and contractor compliance audits are completed timely. Shall inventory and distribute PPE and equipment to field personnel as well as document issuance of supplies for tracking purposes. Shall utilize daily/weekly reports to identify and communicate area compliance activities. Ideal candidate is detail oriented and leads by example. Telecommunications construction knowledge, familiarity with aerial lift devices, and utilities is a plus. Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and utilize mobile electronic devices to collect, enter, and submit detailed information. The Supervisor will provide support to local Texas market as well as possible travel to surrounding states for assistance. Travel will be less than 25%.

    Responsibilities

  • Supervise, develop, and provide leadership to employees of an assigned area, department, or project.

  • Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

  • Implement and maintain processes to assist completion of tasks in support of an assigned area, department, or project.

  • Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist an assigned area, department, or project.

Qualifications

Who we are looking for:

  • Associates Degree in a related field or 3 years of related work experience.

  • Willingness to travel (approximately up to 25% of the time on average)

  • Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience.

  • Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.

  • Authorized to work in the United States.

  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.

  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
