Job Description

JOB FUNCTION/ PURPOSE

The Rate and Audit Administrator II performs the contractual execution of the rate orders and assists in the development and modification of new or existing rate orders. Audits billing information and supports the accuracy and efficiency of the billing process. Updates and maintains rate order information on company websites. Assists External Auditors with Special Requests. Helps develop and implement protocols for increased team efficiency.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and implement rates into billing system.

  • Update billing rate order changes into company website.

  • Process new rate orders and audit rate order updates to ensure accuracy.

  • Update annual rate changes.

  • Reviews and Audits commercial accounts in the utility billing system.

  • Assists with on-boarding new districts into our utility billing system and databases and creates rate codes for new tapping districts.

  • Review and update welcome packets when any updates occur such as rates, location changes, and payment option updates.

  • Calculate commercial deposits and perform annual commercial deposit reviews.

  • Performs internal district audits, ie. grease trap, garbage, ESFCs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

Education/Experience : High School diploma required. Minimum 4 years of rate and audit experience within the water utility industry.

Licenses/Certifications:

Technical : Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work environment is characteristic of an office environment: sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting are required to perform job responsibilities. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 20 lbs.
