Job Summary
The Quality Control Inspector exhibits proficiency in testing methods and provides quality support through quality compliance testing on all finished products, visual inspection, and completion of NCRs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Completes daily instrument calibration of XRF.
Uses handheld instruments, calibrator, or tape measurer to verify customer specified appearance, adhesion, stamp and composition of products for every order.
Verifies correct composition requirements and submits all visual and instrument data into order system to confirm inspection completion.
Loads and unloads barrel and reviews traveler to sort orders that requires use of drying chamber.
Completes inspection travelers, reports, hold points, and rejection notices.
Completes visual inspection for significant surface imperfections using the visual defects and requirements table.
Inputs handheld instrument results into conversion system for details on micron, zinc, and nickel composition.
References test chart to confirm quantity of parts required for quality testing and inputs imperfections or defects to assist in finding the origin of error.
Completes a full inspection of all rack products.
Uses word processing, spreadsheets, or other common software systems to generate data and reports for customers.
Maintains a clean work area for barrel loading/unloading and quality check.
Performs and documents internal quality audits as required.
Supports customer and 3rd party audits as needed.

Ability to understand written/verbal instructions.

Ability to read tape measure, Pi tape, and micrometer.
Performs basic mathematical calculations.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Work Experience
Successfully worked in an ISO certified system or equivalent preferred.
Required 1-2 years as a Quality Inspector or Quality Technician with good knowledge of various types of measuring/testing equipment, styles, and types of materials.
Experience controlling and/or calibrating measuring equipment.
Preferred: Previous experience in the Oil & Gas or Manufacturing industry.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in cold, hot, and/or dusty environment with noisy conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently
Prolonged periods of standing
