Responsibilities

The Project Manager performs end-to-end project management functions on large, complex engineered-to-order projects. This role works with cross functional business units as a key member of the team to ensure that programs are being managed using program management best practices supporting the implementation and planning of fulfillment operations. In addition to program responsibilities the Sr. Project Manager will work across the portfolio tracking and reporting as necessary to ensure all value streams are performing to deliver an effective program. Overall responsibility for team implementation.

QUALITY

  • Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford's Administration System

  • Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement.

  • Responsible to ensure QMS is followed in accordance with product requirements through API including independent third-party witness.

    OPERATIONS

  • As a senior member of the PMO, mentor and supports other team members on project management knowledge areas.

  • Implement strategic techniques to mitigate potential project risks and promote maximum productivity by conducting regular meetings to monitor the project's progress.

  • Monitor and control implementation of the portfolio to ensure preservation of scope and support delivery that is on time, on budget and in compliance with standards and practices.

  • Develop and maintain project procedures consistent with contractual documents and quality plans.

  • Compile and analyze a wide range of program and portfolio metrics.

  • Oversee output from engineering, procurement, fulfilment implementation, and commissioning teams as a client advocate.

  • Utilize basic engineering fundamentals and practices to track and budget progress with project milestones.

  • Track and maintain visibility of procurement activity required on project work scopes.

  • Establish control baselines, track performance, and identify trends/variances to support forecasting.

  • Monitor project implementation to achieve maximum effectiveness for international and domestic projects.

    COMMUNICATION

  • Serve as project representative with client, contractors, and vendors during project reviews, meetings, and correspondences.

  • Clearly communicate project expectations, roles, and responsibilities to implementation teams and key stakeholders

  • Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget and/or scheduling.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement continual improvement goals for effective delivery.

  • Work on special projects as needed.

    Other Vital Talents:

  • Lead and organize project team through complete project lifecycle: Tender, Concept, Design, Implementation, Manufacturing, Testing, Shipping & Delivery, SIT, Installation and Commissioning, Lessons Learned and Archiving.

  • Ability to comfortably present project status to senior Weatherford key team members as well as project stakeholders.

  • Significant expertise in Capital Project Tenders including definition of scope, budget, requirements, risk, and implementation planning.

  • Excellent knowledge in subsea equipment engineering, installation, and operating procedures.

  • Significant experience in asset operations and service delivery industry in the offshore space.

  • Knowledge of energy industry standards like API, ABS, DNV, ISO and NORSOK.

    FINANCIAL

  • All employees have an accountability to the organization to be financially responsible whether they oversee a function budget or simply their own expenses.

  • Costs incurred should be within the approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure.

  • Track and maintain visibility of project financial performance and assist key stakeholders in making decisions to deliver projects on time and budget.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in a business, engineering, or related field

  • 15+ years’ Project Management experience in engineered-to-order projects in the deepwater oil and gas industry.

  • 10+ years’ experience working in PMOs and project staff.

  • Proficient in project cost control and analysis with demonstrable experience in project planning and scheduling

  • Competent in the use of computer software applications used for project control and administration, including Microsoft Suite

  • Experience and in-depth knowledge in Project Planning, Implementation, Monitoring and Control concepts as well as excellent Project Management skills.

  • High level of expertise in Primavera P6, Microsoft Office products and MS Project

    PREFERRED

  • 20+ years’ Project Management experience in engineered-to-order projects in the deepwater oil and gas industry.

  • 15+ years’ experience working in PMOs and project staff.

  • Certification by Project Management Institute (PMP) or AACE

    REQUIRED

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal & external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Capable of working with minimal supervision or direction

  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks in a high energy environment.

  • Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner, and to work collaboratively in a team-focused atmosphere.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and ERP systems

  • Deep aptitude in the financial and cost areas related to project cost controls including a thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting ethics.
