Shape Technologies Group Production Planner Expeditor in Houston, Texas
Description
SUMMARY
Responsible for creating and managing production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products by coordinating material flow, resolving production constraints, and communicating with various departments to maintain smooth operations to meet schedules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for planning, scheduling, loading and on-time completion of work orders.
Monitor inventory levels and maintain stocking levels to support unit and aftermarket sales.
Track the progress of open orders against the schedule.
Identify potential delays and proactively address issues with relevant departments.
Coordinate material delivery to various departments to ensure timely availability of components.
Communicate with suppliers to resolve material shortages or delivery delays.
Report production status updates to management, highlighting any potential issues or delays.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
TRAVEL
Travel is estimated at less than 5%.
LOCATION
Houston, Texas. This position will be in on-site.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES :
Able to read and understand bills of material and technical drawings.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated sense of urgency
Able to respond quickly to changing priorities.
Must be MRP/ERP literate
Strong organizational skills
Knowledge of planner functions, methods, procedures and practices.
Enjoys working with people.
Requires strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
Detail oriented
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE :
High school graduate.
Five (5) years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment with products of multiple level bill of materials.
Independent Professional Certification a plus (AAPICS)

None required.
