The Cigna Group Product Strategy Director (Client Reporting) - Hybrid in Houston, Texas

Summary

The Client & Sales Analytic Product team within Digital & Analytics enables users in the Sales, Underwriting, Finance and other areas to use analytic products in their client reporting and trend analytics activities. Our products support not only total cost of care management, but revenue growth and retention with clients and prospects.

This leadership role is responsible for the client reporting and analytics content, including managing relationships with Sponsors, developing a deep understanding of Cigna and Evernorth products and services, and documenting reporting needs in a way that is easy and intuitive for Engineering developers to consume. This leader will oversee a team of Product Managers who partner with Design teams & Engineering on Discovery and Delivery of solutions that help the Business reduce operating expenses and grow/retain revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop talent with a strong product mindset and commitment to delivering excellent products and experiences for our Business Sponsors and User Personas

  • Maintain a high-level of familiarity with Cigna and Evernorth products, networks, services, and excel at designing report content that demonstrates the value of our products to our clients. Strategize with GTM Product leaders about how to use reporting to sell their products to existing clients and retain those clients by reporting on the value and member impacts

  • Partner with Engineering on the design, development and evolution of technology components that enable the desired User experiences

  • Articulate the value of our products for various Sponsor groups

  • Understand the Sponsor needs and their business objectives and help evolve the Product Strategy as the needs of our Sponsors & Users change over time

  • Lead the Product Managers in a way that allows for self-sufficiency and empowers them to set the priority and vision for their respective products and users but ensures a consistent user experience

  • Leverage subject matter expertise to drive thoughtful design discussions and prioritize highest value work

  • Apply business acumen and healthcare knowledge in the evolution of Product capabilities

  • Understand how AI (artificial intelligence) can help users get to insights more quickly

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in healthcare/similar industry at a corporate level is required; client reporting experience is preferred

  • 5+ years’ delivery experience is required – either on a Product team or Engineering team, and ideally in an Agile environment. Prior experience as a Product Manager/ Experience Owner is preferred

  • Excellent analytics and reporting acumen including experience building reports or completing data analysis related to trend management; strong Analytical mindset is required

  • Demonstrate a “product mindset” with the ability to problem solve, collaborate, and deliver business value in an iterative fashion

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required; individual must be polished and professional and have experience interacting with senior leadership. Must demonstrate a high “EQ” (emotional intelligence) in all situations

  • Experience managing and reporting on performance of a “product” is required, including operational and outcomes metrics as well as business case development for future enhancements

  • Experience working with Sales and/or clients is preferred

  • Ability to delegate and masterfully manage their time in partnership with other areas doing complementary work

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is required

  • Flexibility to change course based on business needs as required; operates well with ambiguity

  • Strategic thinking is required; must be able to track to goals and deadlines in the context of the big picture

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Finance, Business, Engineering, or mathematical discipline or 10+ years’ experience in analytics and/or reporting required

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 158,300 - 263,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
