McDermott Process Engineering Intern in Houston, Texas
Job Overview:
McDermott is looking for an engineering intern to join our Process Engineering team in the Houston office. As an intern, you will have the chance to learn about process design, application of codes and standards, design techniques and analysis methods. You will work in a project team environment, engaging with peers and mentors as you develop and review engineering documentation and grow in your career.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Gain understanding of process scope of work and specifications
Assist in development of key Process Engineering design documentation
Develop and review equipment datasheets
Develop Line List
Develop Process Flow Diagram (PFD) and Process & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID)
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Recently graduated, or a semester away from graduation, in a bachelor’s or master’s engineering curriculum
Strong analytical and mathematic skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management and professionalism
Experience with using MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel)
A growth mindset and willingness to learn and accept improvement feedback
Eligible to work in the United State
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
Experience working in databases
Familiar with key Process Engineering design documentation
