ALFA LAVAL INC International Service Technician, Marine Vessels in Houston, Texas
1) Diagnose, solve, and report solutions and improvements on board of vessels; 2) Provide qualified service on customers' boilers, burners, control systems and matching equipment; 3) Change components, mount new burners and control systems, upgrade equipment and control systems, perform re-commissioning, perform safety checks and combustion adjustments, and advice and coach customers and crew in product usage; 4) Execute Performance Audit; 5) Produce service reports and document field service as per guidelines; 6) Work within the Global Marine Service Organization and act as a technical support backup.
Requirements:Five (5) years of experience in service positions for boilers, burners, control systems and matching equipment on marine vessels. Five (5) years of experience in each of the following skills: (1) Overhauling and recommissioning burners; (2) burners and control systems; (3) boilers; (4) incinerators; and (5) gas analyzers. Travel Requirements: Approximately 25 days of international travel and 125 days of domestic travel on an annual basis. Other Requirements: The candidate must be available to work overtime (including during the night) and on weekends as needed to meet business demands.
