Robert Half HR Generalist in Houston, Texas

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an HR Generalist in Houston, Texas. The role involves overseeing all human resources functions within our dynamic restaurants. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing recruiting, employee relations, benefits, and onboarding. This role will also help shape our employer brand strategy to attract and retain top talent in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee recruitment efforts for all positions, ensuring high-quality candidates are selected to contribute to the success of the organization.

• Respond to all unemployment claims and manage worker’s compensation claims.

• Manage and maintain employee records, payroll system, benefits, and compensation packages.

• Monitor employee morale and company culture, implementing initiatives to promote a positive work environment.

• Conduct performance reviews, manage employee development programs and address any employee complaints to ensure a high level of job satisfaction.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of the food and beverage industry to ensure best HR practices.

• Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.

• Provide guidance to management on HR-related legal matters, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Coordinate employee training and development initiatives.

• Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, ensuring the seamless administration of all programs. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a HR Generalist or in a similar role

• Proficient in Compliance, ensuring that all company policies and procedures meet legal and ethical standards

• Strong skills in Employee Relations, capable of addressing disputes and grievances effectively

• Experience with Human Resources (HR) Administration, including managing HR documents and personnel databases

• Proficiency in Benefits Administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits

• Experience with Automated Payroll systems, with the ability to process and manage employee payrolls accurately

• Familiarity with Full Cycle Recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding candidates

• Knowledge of Worker's Compensation Claim and Unemployment Claim processes, being able to manage these processes efficiently and effectively

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization

• Detail-oriented and organized, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
