Robert Half Help Desk Analyst in Houston, Texas

Description We are seeking a Help Desk Analyst in the transport industry, based in Houston, Texas. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity in which you will provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. This role involves a high degree of interaction with our customers and requires strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the first point of contact for all computer and system related concerns from clients or other employees

• Analyzing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing hardware problems during in-person meetings with clients

• Resolving technical issues related to network interruptions

• Installing and configuring computer systems and applications within the company

• Completing detailed reports listing requests for technical assistance, the steps taken to resolve them, and the specific dates and individuals involved

• Assisting management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage

• Organizing and filing documentation pertaining to warranties and instructional guides for computer hardware

• Maintaining a working log detailing all required system updates, as well as the date of completion

• Prioritizing and managing several milestones and projects efficiently

• Utilizing your skills in Citrix Technologies, Database, EO/IR systems, Lotus Notes, Microsoft, Active Directory, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, and Deskside Support to enhance your performance and contribute to our team. Requirements • Proficiency in Citrix Technologies

• Solid understanding and experience with databases

• Familiarity with EO/IR systems

• Experience with Lotus Notes

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

• Knowledge of Active Directory

• Ability to troubleshoot computer hardware issues

• Experience in Configuration Management

• Prior experience in Deskside Support

• Knowledge of Desktop Hardware

• Experience in the Transport industry

• Previous experience as a Help Desk Analyst

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
