We are offering an engaging role in the Energy Trading industry, located in Houston, Texas. We are in search of a Accounting Analyst who will be a vital part of our team. This role involves a variety of tasks including processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze, interpret, and compile financial data for reporting purposes.
• Use CRM and Database systems to maintain accurate customer records.
• Utilize EO/IR systems and Maps API for efficient data management and reporting.
• Apply Microsoft Excel skills for data processing and financial analysis.
• Implement and manage audit processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in budget planning and capital management processes.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status.
• Handle Fixed Assets accounting and related financial reporting.
• Use "About Time" software for time tracking and project management.
• Conduct AB Testing for process improvement and optimization.
Requirements • Possession of a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field
• A minimum of two years of experience in financial reporting or similar roles within the financial services industry
• Proven proficiency in CRM, Database, EO/IR systems, Maps API, Microsoft Excel, About Time, AB Testing, Auditing, Budget Processes, Capital Management, Financial Reporting, and Fixed Assets
• Solid understanding of financial reporting standards
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling
• Familiarity with financial databases and software
• High ethical standards and professionalism, given the sensitive nature of the information dealt with
• Continuous learner, staying updated on industry trends and possible software developments.
