Superior is currently seeking an ERP Technical Analyst II (D365) to join our team in Houston, TX (On-Site 4 days a week).
The ERP Technical Analyst will be responsible for deploying code/solutions, building and monitoring pipelines, and managing all aspects of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O in various environments. This role includes designing and programming solutions for business problems, writing and maintaining X++ code, and creating technical specifications documents. The analyst will also handle source control, configuration, and release management while utilizing best practices to create new features or resolve issues. Additionally, the role involves developing new functionalities and integrations, applying updates, and ensuring active participation in the Dynamics 365 F&O implementation team across company locations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in code/solution deployments, pipeline build and monitoring all aspects of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O in production and non-production environments.
Assist in applying system solutions to business problems through the design and programming of Dynamics 365 F&O applications, primarily focusing on writing and maintaining X++ code.
Assist in the creation of Technical Specifications Documents as well as documenting the enhancements made to the company’s Dynamics 365 F&O implementation.
Responsible for source control, configuration, and release management utilizing branching and pipelines to move around code and merge with different ISVs.
Utilize recommended best practices and a thorough understanding of Dynamics 365 F&O functionality to create new features and/or fix reported issues and bugs.
Apply functional and technical understanding of Dynamics 365 F&O to develop new functionality and integrations with other systems as required to support business growth.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies around Dynamics 365 F&O programming languages.
Apply hotfixes, kernel updates, or any other Microsoft updates as required.
Be an active member of the Dynamics 365 F&O implementation team across various company locations and operations.
Tightly collaborate with the BI team, functional and technical Dynamics 365 F&O team members, as well as other groups within the IT Department.
Contribute to and maintain system standards as well as maintain consistent installation and configuration procedures.
Identify threats or improper configurations that may impact system security.
Monitor and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O production environment to ensure availability to users and other company systems.
Evaluate and respond to performance logs and alerts, including operating systems, Dynamics 365 F&O system, and related systems.
Requirements:
Over 7 years of development experience with Dynamics F&O and AX applications.
More than 5 years of experience with MorphX, Azure Devops and Visual Studio development environments.
Experience with source control, configuration, and release management utilizing branching and pipelines.
Ability to apply hotfixes, kernel updates, or any other Microsoft updates as required.
Experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines
At least 2 years of experience in developing reports using SSRS.
Experience in troubleshooting issues within the D365F&O application.
Exposure to highly interfaced ERP environments.
Experience with Management Reporter
Team-oriented and capable of working effectively with both corporate ERP and regional IT teams
Capability to work independently with minimal supervision
Not Required, but a plus:
MS Dynamics D365 certifications
Experience with C#.net
Experience with Azure functions, Key Vaults, Logic Apps
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Accounting/Financial or other Technical field; MS Dynamics AX certification is highly desirable.
