AUDUBON ENGINEERING OPERATIONS LLC Director, Offshore Business Development in Houston, Texas
Audubon is currently seeking a Director of Business Development to join our team. The Director of Business Development will develop business relationships with the goal of securing contracts and projects for services provided by Audubon Engineering.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
:
- Knowledge in utilities, renewable sector and energy market - able to map the value chain and ecosystem of clients, partners and competitors.
- Solid and varied network of energy clients, partners and solution contacts across North America
- Identify Project Prospects and Solicit RFPs and Bid Opportunities through cold calling and working established relationships.
- Transition prospects/opportunities/proposals into contracts and purchase orders for Audubons clean energy services (Hydrogen, CCUS, RNG, Solar, Wind, BESS, Geothermal, etc.).
- Strong analytical and communications skills - able to develop partnership discussions and quickly determine which partners are long-term strategic options.
- Successfully partner with Sales, Partner and Deal Teams to develop senior relationships with key partners and utilities. Visit partners and utilities and help them identify opportunities and improve sales and marketing strategies in selling products and services
- Develop Favorable Customer Relationships to negotiate pricing and win projects.
- Ability to assist Project Managers with Proposal Preparation and follow up with inputting any information into Audubon CRM.
- Represent Audubons clean energy business at Industry Meetings and Occasional Social Functions
- Maintain Appropriate Professional Society Memberships.
- Knowledgeable about technical professional selling processes and techniques.
- The ability to analytically view sales opportunities and follow through on top priorities.
- Capturing and understanding clients needs.
- Building business strategies, creating sales and marketing collateral, and aligning stakeholders.
- Development of effective models and processes for driving strong results in target markets.
- Lead/work with Business Unit Managers to develop and deliver proposals specific to client needs.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
:
- BS in any discipline of Engineering or any type of technical degree preferred (not required).
- 15+ years preferred in Business Development across power and utility sector and/or industry work experience in a technical position.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods at industry conferences and trade shows, travel frequently to client offices and locations.
