Description
Our client, a renowned firm, is currently seeking a highly skilled and self-directed Data Analyst to join their team in downtown Houston. The desired candidate will use their passion for big data to turn data into valuable insights that can improve business decisions. Please note that this position is fully on-site, remote work is not available.
Responsibilities:
Collect and interpret data, analyzing results in line with the business goals.
Identify patterns and trends in data sets and propose new strategies for efficiency and productivity.
Use strong Excel skills for significant data manipulation and preparation.
Manage master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.
Review and validate customer data as collected.
Interpret and analyze data problems and provide ongoing reports.
Conduct complex data analysis and report on results.
Work closely with the business teams to prioritize business and information needs.
Adhere to data integrity and security policies.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual business analysis reports.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a relevant field.
Proven work experience as a Data Analyst.
Exceptional expertise in Excel and familiarity with databases.
Solid knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.).
Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred:
- Certifications that exemplify skills within data analysis would be beneficial.
