Actalent Clinical Research Coordinator in Houston, Texas
Description:
• This position will be performing patient care and patient follow up - not asking for them to recruit patients, but maintaining and following up with the patients that are actively enrolled.
• Responsible for following up with them, scheduling, ensuring they have what they need
• They have complex protocols and patients that need a higher level of attention
Top Skills
• 2-3 years of clinical research experience – with some of that experience focused in oncology
• Experience with patient care in a clinical research setting
• Experience communicating with sponsors
• Experience with patient scheduling
• Multitasking and organization is very important for this role – need someone who can juggle different priorities and be change/audible ready
• Oncology is a must-have for this team - needs someone who is up to date on oncology and has previous experience in oncology clinical research trials
• Trial workload is dependent on which trials they would be supporting in the Phase I portfolio
• If they have a strong experience in clinical trials, they would consider someone without oncology – but this is not their preference
• This position would be heavy in using their EMR system – EPIC
• They also use OnCore for CTMS
• Start date - ASAP
• 8-5p M-F - hybrid flexibility is based on patient scheduling, etc.
• 2-3 years of experience minimum
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration or related scientific field.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Three years experience in area of research study or direct patient care obtained from nursing, data gathering or other related experience. Additional years of related experience and/or education may be substituted on a one to one basis.
Preferred: Experience with patients in clinical trials.
