Job Description

Business Development Manager

Role Summary -- The Business Development Manager will serve as the primary sales and

account management representative to the assigned accounts, demonstrating leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for the CMS business segment, focusing on commercial growth, gaining new and maintaining existing valued customer relationships, and achieving significant new business development. This individual will utilize experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. This position is assigned to work remotely to support the business development strategy for the assigned industries. Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and expand new business development towards sustained growth

• Monitor revenue streams and identify opportunities to increase profitability

• Develop relationships from FEL/PPP through release, including follow up with end

users.

• Executes process engineering deliverables for assigned industries and end-user

projects according to contracted engineering design criteria utilizing relevant know-

how, approved engineering procedures, practices, and standards.

• Perform competitor analysis toward obtaining an increased market share

• Develop new clients and strengthen existing client partnerships

• Prepares, coordinates, and reviews designs, studies, reports, proposals, and

presentations.

• Negotiate new business closure that promotes sustained revenue

• Administers client contracts to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction and

prompt identification and client notification of scope changes

• Performs all baseline client relations duties, including preparation and presentation of

progress and special reports.

• Participates in client meetings, special award programs and handles resolution of

client service problems in a professional manner.

• Manage relationships between Veolia organisations and optimize Veolia

opportunities.

• Learn and maintain awareness of all safety and environmental practices

• Use and maintain to company standards an assigned fleet vehicle to perform the

duties and responsibilities of the job

Qualifications

Core Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical),

Biology, or Chemistry, or in any related discipline from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in a

product or customer support position in the Water Treatment/Water Process industry)

• Typically has at least ten years progressive sales experience in a related field with a

proven track record and demonstrated aptitude with complex business transactions,

pricing and project finance, financial models and spreadsheets. Demonstrates

effective technical and proposal writing. At least five years progressive experience

within a refinery, chemical plant, or water/wastewater treatment environment with

thorough knowledge of the methods, techniques, principles, and practices of water

and/or process treatment.

• Working knowledge of Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering

Practices (REGAGEP), e.g., ISA, API, etc.

• Have excellent organization skills and are able to work on multiple projects

simultaneously, and under deadline pressure.

• Detail-oriented, able to follow instructions and to communicate with staff to

understand assignments or seek clarification as necessary.

• Experience managing proposals through commercial closure.

• Abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork and coordination.

• High level of self-motivation and ability to motivate others.

• Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Ability and willingness to travel within territory, as required

• Ability and willingness to reside in assigned region, or within customer proximity

requirements, as required

• Work frequently in a heavy industrial environment requiring use of Personal Safety

Equipment and exposure to noise, dust, chemicals and other similar irritants typical

of those found in refinery, chemical plants, power plants, etc., as required

• Ability and willingness to comply with stringent drug testing and background check

requirements set by customer safety requirements, as required

• Demonstrated Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills including MS Office, and

other software programs within a Windows environment

• To the extent that you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a

company owned / leased or rented vehicle for company business, you must have a

valid driver's license and be willing to submit to a check of your driving record.
