Cimarron is seeking anAvionics Software Engineerto provide Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-loop (SIL) testbed support for the avionics systems and the flight software of the StarLab program. The StarLab will be a low Earth orbit (LEO) space station that will serve as a business park for commercial space and space tourism activities! This work will be performed in Houston, Texas.

Key Duties:

• Provide Hardware-In-the-Loop and Software-In-the-Loop testbed support for avionics and flight software development, integration, and tests.
• Support subsystem avionics integration, Mission Ops product development, and system tests.
• Perform assembly, integration, and test (AIandT) testing.
• Support the definition of System Integration Lab (SIL) HIL/SIL requirements, architecture, and build/setup plans.
• Support ASIL HIL/SIL setup and installation.
• Support avionics and flight software development, integration, and test.
• Support simulation software development and hardware emulators.
• Support development and test objectives of subsystem integration, Mission Ops, and AIandT stakeholders.

Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
• 15 or more years of related experience.
• Experience integrating software and hardware systems for evaluation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

• 5 or more years of experience with SIL HIL/SIL type labs.
• Experience with space system design, development, and testing.
• Experience with Time-Triggered Ethernet avionics buses.
• Experience with MIL-STD-1553 buses.
• Experience with RS-422 serial data buses.
• Experience with AiTech SP0 single-board computers.
• Experience with the Linux operating system.
• Experience with the VxWorks operating system.
