We are currently looking for an Analyst/ Associate- Corporate Development for our Houston, TX office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
JOB SUMMARY:
Position level of analyst/associate will be based on experience. This position is responsible for the following areas:
Acquisition & Organic Project Support:
Opportunity screening & research; target company financial review; market fundamentals analysis associated with target company industries; supporting economic valuation of the target company.
Active participation in due diligence of acquisition opportunities including reviewing and analyzing all information; coordination with internal functional areas, outside consultants and investment bankers.
Support economic valuation and strategic analysis of proposed organic project for Boardwalk Pipeline
Work collaboratively with commercial, system planning and engineering groups to understand project opportunity, assumptions, and key issues to develop a thorough economic analysis.
Energy Transition Support:
Research and develop internal knowledge base around key energy transition and clean energy developments affecting the midstream space as well as the broader energy market
Evaluate opportunities and initiatives that potentially fit with Boardwalk
Preparation and communication of analytical work and investment approval documents to Corporate Development team, Senior Management, and Loews.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 3 years related experience.
Experience in financial valuation/analysis and market research
Strong analytical, logical and economic thinking skills
Strong interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others.
Proficient use of MS Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work under tight deadlines; ability to work with multiple groups and individuals to collect and validate information.
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Two+ years experience in the natural gas industry
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, economics or business-related discipline
