Description We are in search of a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team based in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of accounting duties, including manual invoicing, auditing, and assisting with system maintenance. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately processing manual invoices to ensure proper billing
• Assisting in the rectification of system errors to ensure smooth operations
• Conducting audits as part of the company's commitment to financial accuracy and transparency
• Leveraging knowledge of Accounting Software Systems and ERP for effective management of accounting functions
• Ensuring accuracy in the application and verification of discounts to customer accounts
• Conducting bank reconciliations as part of regular accounting duties
• Utilizing Oracle Cloud for efficient management of accounts receivable
• Assisting with system clean-up tasks to support the accountants. Requirements • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is necessary for maintaining accurate financial records
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is needed for efficient business process management
• Understanding of Accounting Functions is crucial for managing company finances
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is required for managing incoming payments
• Knowledge in Auditing is important to ensure financial operations are compliant with regulations
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date
• Experience with Oracle Cloud is preferred for managing financial data and operations effectively
