Accountemps is actively looking for an accomplished Senior Accountant for a long-term temporary-to-full-time opportunity. Working as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities
Administer monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Ready monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Ad-hoc projects as required
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Continually improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Organize quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Requirements
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Skilled in financial reporting
Vow to meet business deadlines
Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
Skilled with ERP systems
A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
5+ years of overall general accounting experience
Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports
Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Audit Functions experience highly preferred
Excel Formulas experience
General ledger experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Good understanding of Standard Operation Procedure
Adeptness in Monthly Bank Reconciliation
VLOOKUP experience
Background working with Process Improvement
General familiarity with Ledger Reconciliations
Foundational knowledge in Pivot Table
Practical knowledge of Ledger Account Reconciliation
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Earlier work involving Process Improvement Projects
