Integrated NW Construction, LLC Lead Carpenter in Hoodsport, Washington

About the Job Integrated NW Construction is looking for a professional lead carpenter. She or he must be well-rounded with solid finish skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent leadership skills. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and come with a background in the construction or renovation industries.

We are experts in remodels and renovations and expect nothing less from our lead carpenter. Please apply if you are up for the challenge.    Roles and Responsibilities

  • Leads a crew in the performance of the following duties:

    • Constructs, remodels, retrofits, and repairs interior and exterior structures.
    • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical.
    • Documents and communicates activities daily.
    • Estimate cost, time, and materials of change orders on the jobsite

       

  • Provide technical training and mentorship to team members

    • Analyzes and determines training needs for each team member based on his or her unique skill set and expertise
    • Conducts on-the-job training for team members
    • Fosters and promotes safe work practices and trains others how to do the same

Qualifications

  • Ability to:
    • Lead and motivate a team of highly-skilled carpenters and laborers
    • Construct, remodel, retrofit, and repair interior and exterior structures
    • Safely and effectively operate hand and power carpentry tools
    • Read and comprehend plans and blueprints
    • Estimate cost, time, and materials of carpentry work
    • Perform heavy physical labor, train, and direct the work of laborers
    • Follow and give oral and written instructions
    • Maintain cooperative working relationships
    • Work independently and unsupervised while adhering to established timelines
  • Thorough knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in both rough and finished carpentry in both residential and light commercial settings as well as applicable building and safety code requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • 5+ years of carpentry experience in a leadership role
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally (within Mason, Thurston, and Kitsap Counties)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:
    • Lifting up to 80 lbs. unassisted
    • Seeing, hearing, and speaking
    • Bending, standing, climbing, stooping, and walking
  • Must be able to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in the construction trades.
