Queen's Health System Manager, Cardio Clinic - Service Line (Full Time, 40, Day) in Honolulu, Hawaii

RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages the daily clinic operations and directs the system level administration, management, coordination, and integration of programs, regarding patient care activities and services for the areas assigned.

• Develops, establishes, and monitors plans and activities to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

• Participates in the long-term planning of assigned unit(s) and area(s).

• Ensures services, functions, programs, and activities support short and long-range strategic plans of Ambulatory Services and meets the goals and objectives of The Queen’s University Medical Group and The Queen’s Health Systems (QHS).

• Ensures multi-site clinic operations and functions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and all policies/procedures of QHS and its affiliates.

• Assumes and/or partners at a system level responsibility for standardization of assigned programs and policies.

• Develops, coordinates, implements, and assesses the effectiveness of specialty programs and projects to promote, enhance, and expand services provided.

• In collaboration with the Clinical Program Dyads, Physician Leaders, and QUMG leadership, develops outpatient clinical programs to ensure the delivery of quality care and continuity of care for patients and families across multiple geographical locations.

• Works as a collaborative member of the leadership team, including building professional partnerships within the Clinical Programs, Ambulatory Services, and QHS’s leadership team and other entities.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.

• Continuous: sitting.

• Frequent: walking, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.

• Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of one pound up to five pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

• Subjected to noise/vibrations from intercoms, telephones and monitors.

• Exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases.

• Frequently works on multiple tasks and priorities at one time.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• Current Hawaii State license as Registered Nurse.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

• Master’s degree preferred.

• Depending upon area of assignment, specialty certification/training may be desirable.

• Ambulatory Care Nursing Certification (AMB-BC), Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML), Nurse Executive (NE-BC) or Nurse Executive, Advanced (NEA-BC) certification preferred.

• Current BLS certification.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum five (5) years progressive experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an acute care facility.

• Two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience.
