Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Honolulu, Hawaii

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Human Resources Manager in Honolulu, Hawaii. The role primarily involves overseeing the administrative operations of the firm, managing and supervising staff, and handling various HR-related tasks. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the administrative operations of the firm, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.

• Manage and supervise the firm's administrative staff, promoting an efficient and productive work environment.

• Report to the executive committee and participate in all attorney meetings, providing valuable input and updates.

• Understand and apply HR laws and benefits administration, ensuring firm-wide compliance.

• Evaluate and manage the firm's operating and information systems, optimizing for efficiency and effectiveness.

• Engage, discipline, or discharge staff employees with the approval of the Executive Committee.

• Organize and supervise staff training and administer employee benefits programs.

• Oversee finances and accounting, assisting in the development of financial plans and budgets.

• Project the firm’s future needs relating to staff, office space, equipment and similar considerations.

• Manage office equipment and supplies, maintaining a complete inventory of firm property.

• Supervise the firm’s facilities including maintenance, appearance, cleanliness, and security.

• Study and recommend changes in office procedures and manage the firm's IT systems.

• Develop and implement office policy and procedure manuals.

• Handle community and client relations, working with the Marketing Committee to promote the firm's image.

• Administer the firm's insurance programs and make recommendations for changes to insurance coverages.

• Assist the firm’s attorneys in recruiting and training legal assistants.

• Help coordinate and manage business and social functions of the firm.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources role

• Proficiency in Benefits Administration

• Demonstrated knowledge of HR Compliance

• Experience in managing Employee Relations

• Familiarity with the Onboarding process

• Experience in conducting New Hire Orientations

• Knowledge of Law Office procedures

• Ability to Maintain Office Supplies

• Proficiency in Office Administration

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

• Proficiency in using HR software and MS Office Suite

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
