Naval Facilities Engineering Command ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (ELECTRICAL) in Honolulu, Hawaii

Summary You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (ELECTRICAL) in the Public Works Business Line (PWBL) of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.9% will be added to the stated salary. Responsibilities You will evaluate reported deficiencies to determine approach necessary for problem resolution. You will anticipate and analyze risks to resources, products, programs and processes to implement effective control measures. You will anticipate new or changed system demands for programs and services and seek information to guide or take action. You will compose technical engineering instruction and procedures for mechanical, electrical, or structural maintenance, alterations, or repairs Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Evaluating the installation and operation of new or modified metering equipment and utility control system equipment for conformance to performance requirements; 2) Reviewing utility allocations and conducting field investigations of any discrepancies with the utility metering system; 3) Developing criteria for maintaining electrical and mechanical utility system metering equipment such as required training, equipment and materials, operating manuals, etc.; 4) Possesses knowledge of both CIRCUITS UP AND UA; and 5) Demonstrates knowledge in utility commodity systems (electrical, water, wastewater, and industrial).
