Huntington Ingalls Industries Deputy Project Manager in Honolulu, Hawaii
We are seeking a Deputy Project Manager to support our customer.
The Deputy Project Manager will work closely with customers and staff in support of USARPAC and INDOPACOM. Deputy PM responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects onsite personnel. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor, and summarize progress of project in compliance with all Contract Deliverables. Prepare reports for government customer and Project Manager regarding status of project. The successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget.

Fully support the PM in supervising and directing the daily activities of the contract team’s variety of tasks related to: budget, analysis and reporting, task tracking, meeting coordination, standard operating procedures (SOPs) development, human capital, and executive assistance.
Serve as the company’s primary point of contact for contract-related items and appropriately manage all personnel, performance, scope, schedule, and budget matters for the company’s contract support team.
Provide overall technical and financial management of tasks and milestones associated with contractual agreements.
Manage relationship and expectations with the US Government, other companies we have a contractual relationship with, and our employees.
Evaluate progression of project milestones and budget and to modify work as applicable to ensure overall project quality, schedule, and budget are being attained.
Regularly engage with key government client stakeholders.
Assist with analyzing business requirements.
Assist in the development of monthly progress reports detailing work performed, schedule of activities, and issues/concerns arising or potentially arising in the following month’s efforts.
Facilitate the development of information deliverables for a contract in support of the USARPAC Intelligence Directorate.
Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.
6+ years of intelligence, all-source research and counter terrorism.
4+ years of experience with government contracts and understanding the cost, schedule, and performance management of those contracts.
Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations.
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.
Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives.
Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
Demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management.
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio).
Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 7 years relevant experience; OR Master's degree plus 6 years relevant experience. An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement for this job.
Clearance: Must have active TS/SCI clearance
Must have active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
