  • Position Summary*

The Business Consultant, CI, will lead and manage cross-functional/complex process improvement projects, focusing on increasing productivity, reducing costs, and improving efficiencies for the goal of increasing internal and external customer satisfaction. The Business Consultant will deliver tangible, documented results, using key Continuous Improvement tools and a defined methodology for solving problems down to root cause. As a change agent, they will support the business units by engaging employees in process improvement initiatives which will ultimately build morale and ensure sustainment of improvements through ownership. The Business Consultant will also train, coach, and mentor Process Analysts and Senior Process Analysts. In addition, the Business Consultant will report findings and recommendations to business leadership, including Executive Officers and the CEO.

  • Key Responsibilities*

  • Deploy Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools across the organization through assigned projects

  • Work with the Director, CI, and department leaders to identify, scope and prioritize improvement opportunities, and translate functional goals into CI strategies/projects with measurable objectives

  • Lead process improvement initiatives with quantifiable and tangible results

  • Facilitate quick improvement events that deliver quantifiable results

  • Coach, train, and mentor developing Process Analysts and Senior Process Analysts

  • Disseminate process improvement methodologies and toolkits throughout the organization via formal and informal training and community of practice leadership

  • Institutionalize and champion Continuous Improvement thinking and principles throughout the organization. Advocate and demonstrate the benefits of applying this methodology to achieve business objectives and financial performance targets

  • Minimum Requirements*

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and related working experience

  • 3 years CI experience in DMAIC, DFSS, Kaizen, or other relevant methodologies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required; ability to recommend alternative solutions and translate complex concepts into simplified and understandable examples

  • Ability to work across all levels to lead and influence key stakeholders

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with a diverse group

  • Ability to translate complex data into concise executive-level presentations

  • Desire to learn new skills, tools, and techniques

  • Energetic self-starter with strong leadership skills

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

/ Please note that the provided salary information serves as a general guideline. Our salary is determined by a candidate's experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations. The expected pay range is $104,000 - $128,000./
