We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our retail team in HONOLULU, Hawaii. As an Accounting Manager/Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and managing licenses and permits. Your role will be critical in maintaining the financial health and transparency of our organization. If interested in this role, please call Melissa Tree at 808.452.0254. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the process of license and permit renewals and new applications, ensuring to maintain and update data regularly.

• Handle various compliance-related filings and reports, including annual census reports.

• Prepare and review recurring accounting schedules and financial statements for internal and external use.

• Supervise outsourced resources and provide feedback as necessary.

• Utilize financial reporting software to edit reports and create custom reports fulfilling internal requests.

• Assist with miscellaneous compliance and financial reporting tasks.

• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of data in adherence with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.

• Gain competency in multiple accounting software systems and other applications.

• Manage multiple deadlines and work under time constraints.

• Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.

Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of experience in an Accounting Manager or Supervisor role within the retail industry.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential.

• Familiarity with BlackLine, Concur, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems is a must.

• Strong understanding of accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Proven experience in auditing and billing functions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.

• Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Solid understanding of financial legislation.

• Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.

• High level of integrity and reliability.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others in a team environment.

• Ability to adapt to new technologies and tools as necessary.
