Job Description:
We are seeking an
Accounting Assistantto support our growing Accounting Department, which services three companies. This entry-level position offers a blend of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) responsibilities. If you have 2-3 years of bookkeeping experienceor a combination of education and experienceand enjoy a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply!
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Accounts Payable team with invoicing, scanning, and filing
Support AR processes such as credit card reconciliations, reimbursements, and bank deposits
Perform basic bookkeeping and maintain organized financial records
Compile, verify, and process financial forms and documents
Assist with audits and prepare accounting reports
Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and shipments
Provide general office support, including copying, laminating, and filing
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent preferred; 2-3 years of bookkeeping or AP/AR experience
- Skills:Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Sage 100 preferred; ability to type 55 WPM a plus
- Attributes:Strong attention to detail, adaptability, organizational skills, and a team-oriented attitude
