Queen's Health System Accountant -Fixed Assets & Capital projects (Full-Time, 40, Day) in Honolulu, Hawaii
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible to support all aspects of the Fixed Assets and Capital projects.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: sitting, seeing, hearing, speaking, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
• Continuous: finger dexterity.
• Frequent: gripping of an object.
• Occasional: standing, walking, stooping/bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting body, lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying usual weight of 10 pounds up to 20 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level.
• Operates computer, calculator, facsimile, copier.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance or related area; education requirement may be substituted with five (5) years experience in accounting functions.
• Certified Public Accountant (inactive or expired) preferred.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• In addition to education requirement, one (1) year of fixed asset and capital projects related work experience.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience to demonstrate:
o Knowledge of GAAP and the healthcare industry.
o Familiarity with the system functionality and capabilities.
o Strong oral and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
o Strong focus on accuracy with attention to details.
