Your New Role...

  • The Associate Producer, Social Publishing on CNN’s Audience Team will work to expand our reach and grow our engagement with audiences across multiple social platforms. You’ll collaborate with internal groups around the world to create and distribute compelling content in a variety of formats.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Create highly engaging social content across multiple social platforms that will expand brand awareness and user interaction

  • Experiment with content formats that play to social platform infrastructure

  • Craft error-free copy for distribution to millions of followers

  • Analyze metrics to make data-driven decisions and identify trends

Qualifications and Experience…

  • 1-3 years of social media experience at a news outlet

  • Experience creating social content, including video, copy, visuals and/or multimedia offerings

  • Understanding of journalistic standards, factchecking processes and style guidelines

  • Working knowledge of user experiences on top social platforms

  • Sound editorial judgment with a passion for breaking news

  • Copywriting and editing skills

  • Experience using Chartbeat, Adobe Analytics or other data tools

  • Great communication skills with enthusiasm for collaboration

  • Experience using Adobe Photoshop and post-production video programs such as Premiere Pro

  • Multitasking capabilities; ability to monitor fast-moving streams of information

  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and extended hours as news needs require
