BlackRock Associate- Institutional Sales & Client Relationship Management in Hong Kong, Hong Kong

About FIG:

The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with BlackRock's global financial institutions clients which include insurance companies and other financial firms.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide first-class investment servicing to insurance clients and contribute as a core member of the client business team

  • The candidate will work in collaboration with senior RMs, Client Experience Management team (CEM), Portfolio Management Group (PMG), Insurance Solution and Alternative investment teams across the region and globally to service our clients

  • Work closely with senior RMs to identify client opportunities, have a good understanding of the market landscape and execute client and business development plans across investment strategies

  • Interfacing with clients on a regular basis and responding to ad-hoc queries in a timely and professional manner

  • Ability to independently manage the sales process end-to-end; From early-stage engagements, addressing prospect requests for information (RFI & RFP), investors due diligence, onboarding to liaising with internal stakeholders

  • Assist in the planning, management and execution of fundraising roadshows with Portfolio Managers and product specialist teams

  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of strategic marketing plans to build the profile and brand of the firm and generate business opportunities.

  • Maintaining key client database, background and contact information via CRM systems.

Qualifications

  • Client servicing experience in the asset management industry for institutional clients is required. Direct experience of covering insurers in HK and China is preferred.

  • Possess relevant experience and good understanding about alternative products, multi-asset and fixed income

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Cantonese (a must) and Mandarin(a plus).

  • At least 4-5 years of experience working with institutional investors in a similar capacity, with proven track record in institutional business development with Greater China clients

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge on Insurance industry, financial products and investment are critical for this role

  • University Degree, preferably in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Science; CFA qualification would be a plus
