Preschool Early Intervention Special Education Teacher (Shaler Classroom) The Allegheny Intermediate Unit is seeking a PA Certified Special Education Teacher to work in one of its Preschool Early Intervention Classrooms. We are looking for compassionate and motivated Teachers to join our team of professionals who make a positive difference in student's lives every day. The AIU Preschool Early Intervention Program serves eligible children in Allegheny County, ages 3-5, who are experiencing developmental delays or disabilities. Children must be three to five years old and demonstrate a delay in developmental areas (communication, adaptive, cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, personal/social) on a standardized assessment. Preschool special education classrooms are provided in school districts and community buildings.
Qualifications: Valid PA certification in Special Education PK-8 or N-12 required.
New graduates are encouraged to apply
Experience working with the special education school age population preferred.
Salary and Benefits: Salary: $46,000.00 Step 1 plus AIUEA Benefits
Schedule: Monday through Friday, August to August, 190 days
Location: Allison Park or Monroeville
