JLE Industries, LLC Customer Sales Representative (Broker) in Homestead, Pennsylvania

The Customer Sales Representative is responsible for meeting the cost and service objectives of our customers by working with 3rd party carriers to form mutually beneficial relationships.

The company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Broker to join our dynamic team.  The Freight Broker will play a crucial role in facilitating the efficient movement of goods by connecting shippers with carriers.  The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the transportation industry, excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both shippers and carriers.  Position base  at The Waterfront, Homestead PA.

Responsibilities:

Carrier and Shipper Management:

Build and nuture relationships with a network of carriers to ensure a reliable  and efficient supply chain.  Negotiate and secure favorable terms with carriers while maintain active and streamline communication with the customer service team.

Freight Negotiation:

Evaluate transportation needs and negotiate competitive freight rates with carriers to meet client requirements and company profitability goals.  Analyze market trends and stay informed about industry changes to make informed decisions during negotiations.

Load Planning and Coordination:

Coordinate the movement of freight by matching available carriers with shipper's requirements.  Ensure Timely and accurate scheduling, tracking, and delivery of shipments while addressing any issues that may arise during transit.

Documentation and Compliance:

Manage al necessary documentation for shipments, including bills of lading, shipping manifests and customs documentation.  Ensure compliance with PODs by ensuring all PODs are uploaded within our system.

Problem Resolution:

Proactively identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during transportation process.  Communicate effectively with both shippers and carriers to address concerns and find solutions in a timely manner.

Technology:

Leverage technology(internal and external) to perform all duties in an efficient manner that is consistent with policies and procedures. 

Perform all other positions related duties as assigned or requested. 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or a related field is preferred

Proven experience as a Freight Broker in the transportation industry.

Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of transportation regulations, market trends, and industry best practices

Proficient in using freight management software and tools.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
