CityVet Project Manager - Design & Construction in Home Office (Dallas, United States
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Director of Design & Construction, this position offers the opportunity to be a part of the entire real estate development process for veterinary services, directly contributing to CityVet’s vision of creating ownership opportunities for veterinarians across the country. This position is being created with the goal of managing critical project tasks that directly impact CityVet’s rapidly expanding real estate portfolio, including hospitals and administrative buildings. He/she will be given a wide degree of creativity and latitude to lead the coordination and completion of tasks within projects, delivering each within defined timelines, budget and within scope. Average costs of CityVet projects are $1M and the successful candidate will need to exercise levels of influence inter and intra-departmentally, with future-owner veterinarians, as well as with various vendors that support CityVet’s growth. The ideal candidate must be diligent, resourceful, meticulous, analytical, communicative, and most importantly, a team player.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of multiple projects, delivered on-time, and within scope and budget
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders
• Ensure resource availability and allocation by coordinating with vendors and other CityVet departments
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress and provide timely updates to all stakeholders. Comprehensive documentation of project completion, risk assessment and management is expected.
• Lead for equipment requisitions, negotiations, install, inventory, and vendor relationships, to include new equipment/technology identification
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
• Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and software
• Escalate to leadership identified issues that could adversely impact project completion. Lead the discussion on alternatives and solutions to identified issues.
• Proactively manage the relationship with the client, relevant stakeholders, and third parties/vendors
• Meet with vendors to receive detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
• Delegate project tasks when necessary
• Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
• Attend conferences and training as required/ requested to maintain proficiency
• Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs
• Perform other related duties as assigned

ATTRIBUTES OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Proficiency in G Suite, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint skills
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
• Experience with project management software tools such as Monday and Procore a plus
• CAD experience is a plus
• Experience with developing and tracking budgets, controlling costs, and evaluating risks to assigned projects
• Familiarity with process improvement and inventory control
• Demonstrated experience and success with indirect leadership

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years’ experience in construction, remodeling, or building design related field
