Positive Regard Network Educational Team Leader in Holyoke, Massachusetts

CHICOPEE, HOLYOKE Educational Team Leader (ETL) The Positive Regard Network invites applicants for an Educational Team Leader (ETL) position. Applicants must have the minimum of a Master\'s Degree in Education or a related field required. Professional certification as a Teacher for Students with Moderate Disabilities by the Massachusetts DESE strongly preferred; Special Education Administrator licensure also highly desirable. The ETL will work cooperatively with the Education Administrators to supervise the provision of special education services in the school and ensure that the services specified in each student\'s IEP are delivered by the Teachers in accordance with regulation and statute. Position Responsibilities: - Oversees and directs all classroom staff as it pertains to students - IEPs. - Assists direct care staff in implementing lessons and behavioral plans by modeling and providing support materials. - Reviews and strengthens teachers- weekly lesson plans - In collaboration with the Educational Administrator, schedules and facilitates weekly Teachers Meeting. - In collaboration with the Educational Administrator, ensures appropriate training programs for Teachers\' professional development. - Provides staffing in classrooms as required. - Provides feedback to the Educational Administrator regarding annual performance reviews in accordance with policy. - Participates in scheduled supervision, training. - Assists with the hiring process of Teachers, including conducting interviews of prospective candidates. Coordinates student interns as appropriate. - Provides employee orientation and training as required. - Ensures policies and procedures and conduct expectations are adhered to. Implements disciplinary action to Teachers as needed. - Facilitates the dissemination of student information through morning and afternoon meetings and encourages and monitors Teachers- participation in these meetings. - Provides support of team implementation of IEP in conjunction with other disciplines, administrative departments and external services providers. - Coordinates with allied health and clinical teams to provide services on Service Delivery IEP for each student. - Completes information pertaining to students- learning profiles for further assessment upon request. - Monitors compliance with all IEP grids and advocates for needed professional services. - Edits IEP\'s, Progress Reports, reports cards, and other educational documentation in a timely manner. - Attends IEP, review and emergency meetings as requested or needed. Attends IEP meetings to support students and train Teachers. - Remains current and knowledgeable in all federal and state ESE regulations, particularly with regard to special education, MCAS testing, IDEA, and NCLB. Informs, assists and monitors all Teachers- compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education and MCAS testing. - Liaison with outside agencies and authorities, including social services organizations and school district personnel, and represent school in a professional manner at community meetings and events, including court, conferences, etc., as needed. - Assists with MCAS and Wida testing. Oversees and arranges for all testing needs of students. Oversees MCAS ordering, organization, testing and troubleshooting for all students. - Keeps individual certification(s) current with DESE. - Immediately reports emergencies, allegations and other serious concerns to supervisor. **Please note that candidates who are offered employment will be subject to background screening, to include: CORI, SORI, DCF and SAFIS (Fingerprinting) checks**
